This Everest view trek is one of the short classic trek to the Everest region, ideal for those have not willing to walk all the way to Everest base camp or those not having longer holiday. This trek offers classic, close views of Everest and other Khumbu mountains as well as cultural insight on the lives of the legendary Sherpas of the Everest region. The Everest view trek starts with an exhilarating mountain flight to the remote Lukla airstrip. From Lukla the trek follows the valley of Dudhkoshi river reaching Namche on the second day. Namche at 3440m is an active and lively Sherpa town with bakeries, book shops, trekking gear shops and lodges for trekkers. Reaching Namche we would already have gained much height, hence we would rest on Namche for one day to adjust our body to the new altitude. On this rest day we climb the hill above Namche for excellent view of Everest and other Khumbu mountains. Next day we reach the famous Tengboche monastery which serves as spiritual center for the Buddhist Sherpas of Everest region. Tengboche also offers breathtaking views of Everest, Amadablam and others. The next day we would have yet another spectacular view of Everest from Syangboche. We visit important monasteries at Khumjung, the biggest Sherpa village, we take a close look at their interesting lifestyle of the Sherpas and return to Lukla from where we take our flight to Kathmandu. At Kathmandu we celebrate your memorable trek with farewell Nepali dinner and ethnic cultural show.

Equipment List

Clothing and Equipments List
» Pack to pack out - bring enough waterproof bags to carry all non-biodegradable rubbish back down the mountain.
» Remove all unnecessary packaging before leaving home.
» Bring enough warm dry clothes so that you can wrap up rather than burn firewood in the evenings.
» If you are going to trek higher than 5000m or you know it will be cold, buy an aluminum water bottle which can also be used as a hot water bottle at night.
» The easiest way to keep hydrated while trekking is to buy a 1 x liter platypus-drinking bladder to carry in your day pack.
» Make sure to buy proper trekking socks. Don’t buy synthetic socks as these promote sweating and can give you blisters. Always carry a few blister pads in your first aid kit and keep them handy in your day pack.
» Walking poles are very useful while trekking and helpful when descending.
» Please remember that waste disposal and recycling facilitates are limited in Nepal. When buying batteries make sure they are rechargeable and/or high quality so they last longer, and take them home to recycle.
